Beginning Japanese for Youth
Join us to learn how to speak Japanese!
Designed for children 11-15*. Classes meet once a week for 9 weeks beginning the week of Jan. 16, 2023.
The general goals of this course will be to create a solid foundation the Japanese language in the four language skills:
- speaking,
- listening,
- reading, and
- writing
Practice will focus on building conversational skills within the topics that are relevant to teenagers’ daily lives such as school, family, hobbies, and shopping. The instructor will also guide learners in cultural exploration with activities designed help deepen the understanding of Japanese culture and compare and contrast it to their own.
We offer both an online and an in-person class to meet the needs of all of our students.
