Why choose TFLI's TESL Program over others?

"I absolutely feel prepared by this course! I have been given the tools to successfully make a difference in the lives of others. I am confident that the methodologies and techniques of TFLI's TESL program are the best and most effective."

-Ann Marie, TESL graduate 2007

"After orientation, I was amazed at the course’s organization and the trainer’s professionalism. Out of all my higher education experience, this TESL program gave me the most insight and practical knowledge to teach. Even though I have taught before internationally, I was not confident as a teacher.  However, after completing my training and field teaching, I am ready to step into any classroom situation."

 -M. Dawn, TESL graduate 2008

Thanks for everything you do! I really appreciate the fact I went through TESL. I can tell the difference in the way I was trained and other teachers that were not trained and/or trained differently. I have been complemented on my teaching abilities by my boss at NSCC twice now.  I subbed for an ESL class and she came by and watched and talked to the students.  They gushed about how much they like me.  She was impressed with the techniques I used.   At the Martha O'Bryan center I work with a lady who is a very experienced and dynamic teacher.  Though I have never really taught GED  before (just subbed a few times), my partner teacher  with was really impressed with my teaching style....all things I learned in TESL.

-K Zealy, TESL graduate 2008

"I thoroughly enjoyed the TESL course offered by the Tennessee Foreign Language Institute.  Even though I spent 33 years in public education as both teacher and administrator, it exceeded my expectations for both rigor and content."

-B.Watkins, TESL graduate Spring 2009
