Lodging Information

TFLI does not have "on campus" accommodation available.  However, we do have the following resources for affordable lodging in the Nashville area.

Music City Hostel:  www.musiccityhostel.com

"A hostel is a self-catering facility suitable for budget travelers, backpackers, and friendly people seeking modest lodging.   We aim to provide safe, comfortable, and convenient lodging experience for you.   But we are so much more.   One of the central tenets of hostelling is the sense of community.   Whether this takes the form of staying in a dormitory with a self-catering kitchen and communal TV room, sharing rides with other travelers, purchasing a bus pass or something else, what matters is the shared experience.   This allows travelers to learn from one another while saving money at the same time:  the first-hand account of a fellow traveler can often be more informative and up to date than what was published in a travel book.   Of equal importance in hostelling is the sense of authenticity.   Hostelling is not just a vacation but rather a means of education.   We seek guests who want to experience the “real” destination rather than a packaged version often associated with mass tourism.   We seek to foster a sense of healthy adventure and independence.  At our hostel you will likely encounter people of differing nationalities, cultures, and social background to meet informally, share experience, learn about themselves, each other and their surroundings.  Hostelling is a common and popular lodging option in Europe, Australia, and some parts of Asia, Africa, and South America (from Music City Hostel FAQs)."  For more information, please visit www.musiccityhostel.com or download Music City Hostel's brochure.

Scaritt-Bennett Center:  www.scarrittbennett.org

"Scarritt-Bennett Center is the perfect place for your next meeting, conference, retreat or getaway. The gothic architecture, combined with beautifully landscaped grounds provide a peaceful environment. While here, you and your participants will feel renewed, refreshed and more able to focus on the purpose of the event. Overnight accommodations are available for up to 139 people in three Gothic-style buildings. Once a college campus, the Center's converted residence halls have semi-private overnight accommodations. Our newly renovated rooms in Gibson Hall are equipped with televisions and high-speed internet access.

Parking is free and the Center is located within walking distance to many area restaurants (from Scarritt Bennett general info)." For more information, please visit: www.scarrittbennett.org.
