Program Manager, ESL To Go
After graduating from Goucher College with a B.A. in Peace Studies in 2008, Leah moved to Kagawa, Japan, to teach English through the Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Program. After two years in Japan, she relocated to Nashville for an Americorps position at the Vanderbilt Coalition for Healthy Aging, where she filled the role of Refugee and Immigrant Health Outreach Coordinator for two years.
During her second Americorps term, Leah began volunteering at TFLI where she founded the ESL to Go program with ESL/TESL Director Angie Harris. Leah’s native language is English, and she also speaks Japanese.
