All information sessions about the TESL@TFLI program are held at TFLI’s office at 220 French Landing Drive in Metro Center (unless otherwise noted). Attendees receive a $100 off coupon and the opportunity to ask all their questions of the TESL@TFLI director and lead trainer, Aaron C. Lovett. Former students join us either in person or via Skype from their current teaching job, so you have the chance to hear from graduates of the TESL@TFLI course and ask them questions. Let us know if you plan to attend by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
Summer daytime sessions are ideal for students who wish to complete their TESL Certificate training in a few weeks. The in-class portion of the course runs for 4 consecutive weeks, Monday-Saturday. The in-class starts with an observation of a local ESL class, usually from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Saturday. Regular classes are then held Monday-Friday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
Part-time evening courses:
Spring sessions are ideal for students who may have some daytime obligations, but who have their evenings free. The in-class portion of the course runs for approximately 10 weeks. Regular classes are held Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The final 6 weeks of the class introduce an increased homework load for lesson preparation and also meet on Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM for ESL class observations and teaching.
Fall sessions are ideal for students who have only 3 evenings per week free. The in-class portion of the course runs for approximately 13 weeks, finishing in mid-November. Regular classes are held Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The final 6 weeks of the class introduce an increased homework load for lesson preparation and also meet on Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM for ESL class observations and teaching.
