TFLI offers group classes for adults in the nine most popular foreign languages: Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Arabic, Japanese, and Chinese. Our classes typically meet once weekly for two hours per class over twelve weeks. We offer classes for beginning through advanced learners. Registration for Summer 2017 will open sometime in April; visit our class registration site for updates.
If you have some experience with the language you’re interested in and are not a “true beginner,” we suggest you take a look at the class descriptions in our online catalog and see if that helps you decide what level of class is the best fit for you. If you still have questions, call us at 615-741-7579 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org, and we’ll arrange for you to consult with one of our instructors before you register.
PLEASE NOTE: All group foreign language class students with classes at the TFLI headquarters building (220 French Landing Drive) and who are NOT state employees must get a Student ID following these instructions. If you are returning and you already have a TFLI student ID, please bring it with you each time you attend class.
Other helpful information about our group foreign language classes–
If you are interested in learning a language not offered as a group class, or if the level you need is not available, TFLI may be able to arrange custom foreign language classes in several other languages and at other levels.
